Canada uses a unique 50×70 mm photo. Most countries use 35×45, so do not reuse those.

IRCC requires a 50×70 mm color photo with a plain white or light grey background. The face from chin to crown must measure 31–36 mm.

The photo must be taken within the last 6 months, on photo paper, with the photographer's name, address and date written on the back of one of the two copies (for paper applications).

For online IRCC applications (express entry, study permit) upload a JPG between 60 KB and 240 KB at 420×540 px minimum.
