Etsy recommends uploading photos at 2700×2025 px (4:3) or larger. The platform crops to 4:3 in the listing carousel and 1:1 in search results, so always design with both crops in mind.
Maximum file size is 20 MB per image, but anything over 2 MB gets re-compressed by Etsy. Pre-compress to 1.5–2 MB JPG at quality 85 to keep the result crisp.
You can upload up to 10 photos per listing. The first photo (the thumbnail) should be a clean square-friendly shot of the product against a plain background.
